Thank you for choosing ikuTeam, Lda. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data within our ikuTeam Office applications. Our architecture is built on the Atlassian Forge platform and AWS infrastructure, specifically designed to meet the requirements of highly regulated environments, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and the Australian Privacy Act.

Information we collect

We do not collect, harvest, or sell personal data. Our applications are engineered with a Zero-Persistence philosophy.

• Application Logic: Our apps run within the Atlassian Forge isolated environment.
• Content Processing: When using the ikuTeam Office engine (hosted on AWS), files are processed in volatile memory (RAM) and are immediately flushed upon closing the editor or completing the transfer. No customer content is ever written to persistent storage (disks) within our infrastructure.

Data Retention

Because we do not store customer content or personal data, we do not retain it.

• Operational Metadata: Any configuration data (e.g., app settings) is stored within your Atlassian site's storage.
• Session Data: All file data handled by the ikuTeam Office engine is ephemeral. Once your session ends, the data is purged from memory.
• Logs: Our system logs are stripped of sensitive metadata and customer content to ensure no PII is inadvertently retained.

Data Residency and Transfers

By using our apps, you acknowledge that data processing occurs across two primary cloud environments:

• Atlassian Forge: Application data reside within Atlassian’s global infrastructure.
• AWS Office Engine: Document processing occurs on our dedicated AWS instances located in Frankfurt (EU) or US-East-1 (USA).

All data in transit between your browser, the Atlassian platform, and our AWS engine is protected by industry-standard end-to-end encryption (TLS 1.2+).

Security Measures

In alignment with our ISO 27001 certification, we implement robust technical and organizational safeguards:

• Encryption: Data is encrypted at all stages of transit.
• Isolation: The Atlassian Forge platform ensures our app logic is isolated from other tenants.
• Memory Management: Our AWS engine is configured to prevent data persistence, ensuring that no document fragments remain on the server after processing.
• Access Control: We enforce strict MFA and least-privilege access for our internal infrastructure management; however, no ikuTeam employee has access to your actual document content.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our apps or legal requirements. If a revision significantly impacts how data is handled, we will notify you via the Atlassian Marketplace or your registered administrator email.
